On July 4, MEI’s Transsystemic Cluster conducted a full-day conference entitled “The Contested City: Jerusalem 1917-2017″. Four key points were covered in the workshop: Ottoman Jerusalem, Jerusalem in 1948, Modern Jerusalem and The Holy Places and Cultural Heritage, and drew a full house.
