[MEI Salon Series] The Living Colours of Jewish Art
Did you know that Jewish artists have left their creative mark on cities across the world, including right here in Singapore? One striking example is Momentum, an 18.5-metre sculpture by renowned artist David Gerstein. Located in the heart of Central Business District (CBD), this vibrant piece reflects the city-state’s dynamic energy, with its vivid colours and kinetic design.
Building on Singapore’s own identity as a melting pot of cultures, this exhibition invites you to explore the world of Jewish art, where colour, movement, and innovation blend seamlessly. Featuring iconic works by celebrated Pop and Kinetic artists such as Yaacov Agam, David Gerstein, and Marcel Janco, the collection reflects the diverse artistic journeys of these artists. From Agam’s interactive, ever-evolving works to Gerstein’s bold visual statements, each piece is designed to captivate and inspire.
Originally founded in early 20th-century Europe, Bruno Art Group (BAG) has amassed over 100 years of experience in the world of art. With galleries and offices in Europe, Asia, and the US, the group has not only curated a vast collection of fine art but also made it its mission to represent and support young, promising Jewish and international talent on the global stage.
Don’t miss the chance to immerse yourself in the world of Jewish contemporary art, with a selection of works that continue to shape the global art scene. Presented by Bruno Art Group in partnership with the NUS Middle East Institute, this event offers a rare opportunity to experience art that challenges, excites, and transcends borders.
