Loan Items

All items must be checked out before removing them from the Library. Borrowers must return the items to the Library personally and will be held responsible for books and materials borrowed. Membership

All users are required to register. For registration, a digital passport size photograph is required. Borrowers will receive an e-library membership card. Due Date and Renewals

Books will be lent out in four (4) week terms, before the end of which the items should be returned or renewed. Overdue Loans / Damage / Loss of Items

Fines will be charged for overdue books set at S$0.50 per day and per item until returned. The borrower will be liable to pay for the full costs of the items plus handling charges if items are deemed lost or long overdue (6 weeks overdue and beyond). Borrowing Privileges

Any member of the public will be eligible to borrow items according to the following criteria –
MEI Researchers and Staff: Unlimited
NUS & its Affiliated Institutes’ Researchers and Staff: 10 items per 4-week term
