On July 12, MEI organised a closed-door event at Hotel Jen Tanglin, bringing in Southeast Asia’s former foreign ministers, experts and distinguished guests from around the world for a full-day conference entitled “The New Geopolitics of East and West Asia: Emerging Security Trends”. Attendees include Minister for Social and Family Development Desmond Lee, Former Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore Wong Kan Seng, and Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia His Excellency Tan Sri Syed Hamid Albar, amongst others.
