Carl has been a journalist for 30 years, a multiple-award winner who has held a variety of senior leadership roles at the TODAY newspaper and The Straits Times. He had been Deputy Editor, leading daily editorial operations across the print and digital spectrums, on everything from features to important local and foreign news. He has managed a team of correspondents scattered around the globe, budgeting for various bureaus, and keeping in touch with Government and understanding Singapore’s foreign policy objectives, challenges, and dilemmas, among others.
