Misha Anthony Monteiro-Benson

Misha is currently a Public Servant in Singapore and a Research Affiliate at the Middle East Institute, National University of Singapore. His academic interest is the political economy of the Central Asian Republics as they chart a course through an evolving geopolitical landscape which is multipolar and increasingly tied to the geopolitics of the Middle East. With a background in criminology and maritime security, Misha is interested in economic development, and the agency of small states during geopolitical tensions. He has been published in the South China Morning Post, East Asia Forum, and Asia Times on issues linked to Central Asia.
